The Italian team of entrepreneur and driver Federico Monti in collaboration with Alex Caffi Motorsport was busy in free practice under the Valencia sun.
The three cars lapped the track and fine-tuned the best set-up for the race weekend. The FJ #2 is ready for tomorrow's race in the Club Challenge category that will see Federico Monti involved: "It was a great day, we improved a lot and I am sure we can do even better tomorrow.
Compared to the first laps today I improved by 11 seconds. Tomorrow it will be another day, I have the impression that it will be more of a regularity race than a speed race."
Patrick Lemarié satisfied after his laps in car FJ #5 he obtained good times says:" Immediate feeling with the car, on the fourth lap I obtained a good time, we still have this engine issue that we are trying to solve and I am sure that once we solve it the times will be better, today we mainly concentrated on the set up of the car.
The team even though it is only the first event of the season seems well organised, you know that the first race always puts a lot of pressure on everyone. In EN2, Vladimiros Tziortzis, who shares the car with team-mate Lemarié, confirms what the French driver said, adding: "I feel great in the car, good feeling from the very start once the last step has been solved, we could really give it our best and push all the way".
A very good first session for Rookie Legend driver Andrea Tronconi who, however, had to stop for further checks on the engine. Further tests are scheduled for the afternoon of Friday 13, which will lead directly to the qualifying session on Saturday 14 in both EuronascarPro and Euronascar 2 categories, followed by the official start of the first round of the new season of this amazing championship.
