15:28 Cars: Lavieille finishes tenth

The Haval driven by Frenchman Christian Lavieille has just finished in tenth place on the special stage, 16’56' behind the day’s winner Nasser Al-Attiyah.



15:26 Cars: Finish: after the podium places…

Orlando Terranova just misses out on the podium, 6’40' behind the day’s winner and 4’04' behind third placed driver Carlos Sainz. Holowczc records the fifth best time, 7’49' behind Al-Attiyah and in front of Nani Roma and Giniel de Villiers, respectively 9’19' and 9’21' behind the Qatari.


 In eighth place, Russian driver Vasilyev comes in 11’59' behind the winner, in front of the HRC driven by Dutchman Ten Brinke, 13’07' behind Al-Attiyah. There are no less than 6 Minis in the top 10.



14:50 Cars: Peter finishes second

Stéphane Peterhansel has crossed the finishing line in second position, 1’12' behind Nasser Al-Attiyah and 1’24' ahead of the SMG buggy driven by Carlos Sainz.



14:43 Cars: Al-Attiyah wins!

Qatari Nasser Al-Attiyah has won the day’s car special, covering the 302 kilometres on the menu with a time of 2:32’57'!


Carlos Sainz has also crossed the finishing line, 2’36' behind Al-Attiyah. To determine the final hierarchy, the results of Peterhansel and the other Minis are awaited.



14:37 Cars: The rest of the top 5 after 211 km

Poland’s Holowczyc is now 5’03' behind the stage leader in fourth position with Nani Roma fifth, 5’31” behind. Orlando Terranova should however join this top 5 in the coming minutes and De Villiers could also cause a change in the positions.



14:34 Cars: Top 3 unchanged at 211 km

Nasser Al-Attiyah still leads the Mini contingent at this point, as the team also leads the general standings. There are 4 Minis in the top 5. The second today is still the one driven by Stéphane Petehansel, 59' behind the Qatari. In third place, Carlos Sainz (SMG buggy) is resisting the Minis’ dominance, 2’10' behind the stage leader.



13:36 Cars: CP3: after the top 5.

Orlando Terranova has just started the fourth section of the special by signing the sixth best provisional time of the day, 14' behind Holowczyc and 30 seconds ahead of Giniel de Villiers, who in turn is followed by Bernhard Ten Brinke and Vladimir Vasilyev.



13:24 Cars: CP3: no change after 134 km

Al-Attiyah leads Peterhansel, Sainz, Roma and Holowczyc as there is no change in the top 5 on the car special. Only the gaps have increased quite uniformly with 57' between Al-Attiyah and Peterhansel.


Sainz is 1’53 behind, Roma is 2’14' behind and Holowczyc is 3’00’’ behind the stage leader.



12:34 Cars: The Minis at the front after 44 km

Nasser Al-Attiyah is in the lead, with a total time of 20’19'. Immediately after him, Stéphane Peterhansel trails his team-mate by 16' but is in front of Carlos Sainz’s SMG buggy (30” behind Al Attiyah). Next come Holowczyc and Roma, respectively 33 and 36' behind the leader.




12:09 Cars: Car special stage underway

At 11.50 AM local time, Carlos Sainz launched his SMG buggy into the first kilometres of the special, ahead of Nasser Al-Attiyah and Stéphane Peterhansel on the way to the first time check point after 44 Km.
