The main change in the general standings this Firday sees Ignacio Casale drop to third place after losing more than 8 minutes today, to the benefit of Rafal Sonik the day’s winner.

There are less than two minutes between the two quad riders who are 22’18' and 24’04' behind leader Sergio Lafuente, whose position is becoming more solid.


Fourth place rider Sebastian Husseini trails the leader by more than 3 hours. Mohamed Abu-Issa is almost 5 and a half hours behind and Jeremias Gonzales Ferioli is more than 7 and a half hours behind.


    14:36 Quads: Sonik wins!


    The Polish rider has proven to be the fastest man on a quad today. He has finished the special with a lead of 54' over Sergio Lafuente.


Chilean Victor Manuel Gallegos Lozic takes the last step on the day’s podium 3’43' behind the Pole. Ignacio Casale loses 8’06 today to his main pursuer Rafal Sonik and therefore drops to third in the general standings.



    14:32 Quads: Lafuente first to arrive at the finish


    Uruguayan Sergio Lafuente has completed the special with a time of 4:58’37'. He was second in the stage at the last time check point behind Rafal Sonik.



    13:41 Quads: Sonik still leads after 355 km


    The Polish rider is still out in front of the leading trio that seems to be leaving its pursuers behind. Rafal Sonik now has a lead of 1’54' over Sergio Lafuente. The third placed rider is Chilean Gallegos Lozic, 3’09' behind Sonik.

    The Polish rider has finally turned out to be the quickest over this first section with a lead of 2’07' over Sergio Lafuente. In third place, Gallegos Lozic trails the Pole by 2’49'. Ignacio Casale has lost plenty of time and lags behind Sonik by 11’57' and Lafuente by 9’50'.



    10:57 Quads: Casale loses time after 160 km!


    The leader at the start of the special, Ignacio Casale is now in sixth place, 13’50' behind the new stage leader, which appears to be Rafal Sonik ahead of Chilean Gallegos Lozic. However, no time has yet been recorded for Uruguayan Sergio Lafuente who has been in second place since the start of the special.


    09:54 Quads: Leading trio unchanged after 120 km


    The gaps are stable between the day’s three fastest men, with Ignacio Casale 2’227” ahead of Sergio Lafuente. Rafal Sonik is third 3’07' behind the leader and Victor Manuel Gallegos Lozic is fourth, 5’21' behind.



    09:24 Quads: Duel between Casale and Lafuente after 81 km


    The leaders of the quad general standings are on the attack, pulling along the rest of the pack in their wake. , Casale leads his Uruguayan rival by 1’31'. The third placed rider is now Rafal Sonik, 2’02” behind the stage leader. Chilean Gallegos Lozic occupies fourth place, 2’50” behind Casale.


The fourth placed rider in the general standings, Sebastian Husseini, is currently in 15th position, almost 5 minutes behind the stage leader.
