| De 9de rit bracht de Dakar karavaan van Antofagasta naar Iquiqe, een rit van 556 km de langste uit de Dakar. Na de tegenslagen van gisteren aasden Koen en Pascal vandaag op eerherstel. Dat kon alleen maar door een klinkende prestatie en die kwam er ook. Koen Wauters en Pascal Feryn (Toyota) eindigden 37ste in de 9de rit.
