The Porsche Sprint Trophy Thailand contenders will go head-to-head for one last time this season in the Thailand Super Series finale from Buriram (25-27 October), with nine Porsche entries in action across the GT4, GTC and GTM categories.

Heading into the finale on top of the Porsche Sprint Trophy Thailand GT4 and GTC standings is Morseng Racing Team’s Chayapon Yotha, who has already won at the Chang International Circuit during the championship’s fourth round earlier this season on board the #14 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport (981).

Behind the former Blancpain GT Series Asia driver is Nattachak Hanjitkasem, whose string of three consecutive second-place finishes has seen him take an 11-point advantage over AAS Motorsport team-mate Pasu Liptapanlop. The #46 driver took a maiden win in Bangsaen and also remains in mathematical contention for the title.

Running in the GTC field alongside the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport runners is Ian Ross Geekie, who’s hoping to repeat his fine double victory at the 2018 Buriram finale on board B-Quik Racing Team’s #18 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (Type 997) car.

In the GTM Pro-Am class, championship leaders Tanart and Munkong Sathienthirakul will look to wrap up the title, with the #15 Mongkol Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 Cup pair holding a 15-point heading to the 4.554 km circuit.

Ahmad F. Alam and Antares Au will pair up this time on board the #12 EBM/B-Quick Racing Team Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, with team-mate John Curran contesting the Am class in the #11 machine, as the squad looks to bridge the gap at the top of the GTM teams’ standings.

True Vision Motorsports’ Suttiluck Buncharoen heads to Buriram as the 2019 Thailand Super Series GTM Am drivers’ champion, having won five of the six races this season, with YK Motorsports by SUNOCO’s Dechathorn Phuakkarawut aiming to solidify second in the standings this weekend.

You can follow all the action from the Thailand Super Series opener on their YouTube channel, with the latest schedule available on their website.

Sontaya Kunplome, President of Thailand Super Series, & Preeda Tantemsapya, Vice President of Thailand Super Series:
“After the successful launch of the Porsche Sprint Trophy Thailand in 2019, which included the GTM and GT4 classes, it drew a lot of interest among the enthusiastic Porsche drivers. Of course, the additional entries will definitely appear in 2020 in both categories. The cooperation between Porsche and Thailand Super Series is still moving forward towards a bright future.”

Alexandre Gibot, Head of Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific
: “We are all looking forward to the Porsche Sprint Trophy Thailand finale in Buriram, where we’ve always seen strong performances in the past from our Porsche customer teams. It’s been a great season for our drivers across the GT4, GTC and GTM classes and we’re looking forward to seeing how they will get on for the last time in 2019 at the Chang International Circuit.”
