CTCC presented by Pirelli will be joining the virtual world of TCR SIM Racing and announces the only TCR North American 2020 calendar. CTCC presented by Pirelli will showcase its TCR class as TCR Canada presented by Pirelli.  The virtual championship is set to start on June 20, 2020.

Based on the Assetto Corsa SIM platform, this new TCR SIM Racing championship has been developed with an impressive attention to details to meet the specific criteria of the TCR series around the world.

TCR Canada presented by Pirelli is open to a maximum of 25 competitors and will feature existing homologated TCR cars based on genuine race car liveries to attain the best experience.

“We are extremely excited to be introducing this alternative way of racing into our championship”, confirms Dominique Bondar, General Manager of RACE Events. “ With the current pandemic limiting our racing season, we find the option of going virtual to be essential in order to give our competitors, our partners and our fans a realistic and very accessible substitute that keeps everyone at a safe distance while enjoying competitive racing.”

The seven-event programme will highlight a variety of Canadian and US racetracks.  Every event will consist of a practice and a qualifying session and two races.  Championship points cumulated in the SIM will be applied with the same scoring than the regular series and will be posted on our website immediately after the event. The Virtual Champion of the TCR Canada Sim Championship will win a real prize; a credit of $5,000 applicable to the full 2021 CTCC Championship (details to follow).
