- Extremely successful "roll-out" of the KTM X-BOW GTX from Teichmann Racing

- Hendrik Still takes two podiums within the GT Winter Series in Portimao
- Teichmann Racing driver Georg Griesemann leads the overall standings
Despite the current restrictions, 25 sports prototypes, GT racing and touring cars were on the grid for the first round of the GT Winter Series in Portimão, Portugal. Two races were held on the spectacular “Autódromo Internacional do Algarve”, but the weather was not particularly “southern”, on the contrary: It was cold and there was also some rain.
For Teichmann Racing it was the first meters with the brand new KTM X-BOW GTX, which was one of the first teams in the world to be provided with the car. The drivers Hendrik Still, Peter Terting and KTM works driver Laura Kraihamer completed the roll-out and had already collected several test and set-up kilometers, before Hendrik Still contested the two races.

In the first race, the ideal line dried up right before the start and Still finished the race debut of the KTM X-BOW GTX with an impressive second place overall, only beaten by Axcil Jefferies in a Ligier LMP3, but ahead of all GT3 competitors.
The second car from Teichmann Racing, a KTM X-BOW GT4 EVO, which is planned for the CupX series within the NLS this year, was able to prove its potential with Georg Griesemann at the wheel: The car had previously been on a suspension simulator and with the completely new set-up generated out of this, Griesemann was able to leave more powerful competitors behind to finish in fifth place overall.
In the second race, Still struggled a little bit in the KTM X-BOW GTX as the track dried up only during the race, which did not particularly suit the set-up of the car. In the end, finishing third overall, he nevertheless secured the second podium at the premiere of the KTM X-BOW GTX, while Georg Grieseman, after a long duel with a Porsche driver, once again captured class victory and an excellent sixth place overall.

The NLS driver now has the overall lead in the GT Winter Series points classification. Team boss Michael Teichmann was correspondingly satisfied: “The new racing year started off well. In this context, we would like to thank Markus Gedlich and his team, who organize and run the GT Winter Series despite difficult circumstances.
For us it was the first few meters with a completely new, unknown car, and yet the KTM X-BOW GTX did outstandingly well. Of course, there is still a lot of room for improvement if we can spend a long time working with the vehicle. The great result of Georg and the KTM X-BOW GT4 EVO is particularly pleasing, as we are expecting to be even better prepared and more powerful in the upcoming NLS season!"

The German team "Laptime Performance" was also on the grid and was able to complete it’s first successful kilometers with its brand new KTM X-BOW GT4 EVO, driven by David Assfalg and Ulrich Ziegler.
