Arden Motorsport return to action in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine at Circuit Zandvoort, Netherlands this weekend (19-20 June) looking to build on recent positive results.
 


The Banbury-based team returned to the podium last month at Circuit Paul Ricard courtesy of William Alatalo, with Alex Quinn also adding vital points to his championship bid.
 


Although Nicola Marinangeli’s pace went unrewarded on that occasion, all three Red Arrows make the trip out to the 2.6-mile circuit, famous for hosting the Formula 1 ® Dutch Grand Prix, in good spirits and aiming for the sharp end of the field.
 


Arden will also look to make further progress in the Teams’ standings, this weekend currently in third after the opening eight races of the 2021 season.
 


After pre-event testing on Thursday and Friday, competitive action begins with the first of two qualifying sessions at 08:30 (BST) on Saturday morning.
 


The opening race then follows at 14:00, with that format repeated the following day, this time at 08:30 and 15:00 respectively. Live coverage will be available as usual on the championship’s YouTube channel and social media platforms.




Ben Salter, Arden Formula Regional Team Manager said:“Everybody is looking forward to racing again at Zandvoort this weekend. We’ve had a couple of weeks to reassess and analyse the areas we need to improve upon after the first few events, and there’s been some positive progress.
 


“At this stage of the year, consistency will be key if we’re to continue moving up the order in both championships. We’ve had a few unlucky results recently, but there’s a real need now to start bringing home the points.
 


“Zandvoort is a very fast, flowing circuit so getting the right rhythm will be crucial. We’ve seen how important a good qualifying is for the rest of the weekend, so if we can get that sorted out, the rest should fall into place from there.”
 


William Alatalo (#8) said:“I’m feeling well-prepared and ready to get back to racing at Zandvoort. It’s a really interesting track and has some truly exceptional corners. The aim is to get another podium and some solid points.”
 


Nicola Marinangeli (#14) said:“Finally, we’re back in the car and looking ahead to Zandvoort this weekend. I’ll be giving it my full focus to get some good results.”
 


Alex Quinn (#21) said:  “I’m really looking forward to Zandvoort this weekend. It’s an exciting track, with a really fast, flowing nature to the lap, and hopefully we can come away with some more important points for the championship."
