The Danish driver scored his first two wins in the F4 Spain Championship with a dominant performance in race 1 and race 2. Martí also brought a third place home. It was a well-deserved achievement in memory of Adrián Campos, our founder who sadly passed away earlier this year
Sebastian Øgaard has secured his first two victories in the Formula 4 Championship this weekend after a faultless performance in his Campos Racing-run Tatuus-Abarth at Portugal’s Algarve International Circuit.
Spaniard Pepe Martí was also running in podium contention throughout the weekend and finished third in the second race of the event. Alex García and Olerksandr Partyshev also completed solid performances with steady progress.
On Friday, after two free practice sessions in which Campos Racing drivers worked with their engineers to make some final tweaks on the set-up, two qualifying sessions took place in the afternoon. Øgaard and Martí shone on their own merit with the Danish securing a front row start in race one and the Spaniard qualifying in third place for race 1.

When the lights went out, Øgaard took advantage when Dilano van’t Hoff made a bad start and moved into the lead. His rivals never managed to put some pressure on him. Øgaard, who also posted the fastest lap of the race, pulled away and took the checkered flag with a seven-second gap on Dani Maciá. It also resulted in a first win in the series for Campos Racing after the Alzira-based team joined the series this season.
Unfortunately Martí’s race came to an early end when on lap 11 he got involved in an incident with Rik Koen when the Spaniard was lapping in fourth place. Mexican García finished 12th after passing more than ten cars during the race. Ukrainian Partyshev crossed the finish line in 17th place after running in 12th in the early stages of the race.

Saturday brought more top results for the Spanish-based team. Race 2 saw Øgaard and Martí lining up second and sixth on the starting grid. Øgaard took the lead after making another excellent getaway and the Spaniard also gained two places and moved up to fourth. Øgaard’s pace was unmatchable as after the first lap he had built a three-second gap on van’t Hoff. Further adrift, Martí took the third place after moving past Enric Bordás.
The top-three remained unchanged until the end with the Danish driver taking the checkered flag as race winner. Martí crossed the finish line in third place to secure his second podium finish of the season. Mexican García finished 14th with Ukrainian Partyshev ending up in 20th place.
The weekend came to an end with race 3 on Saturday afternoon. Martí, who was starting on the front row, stalled and dropped to last place with Øgaard also losing two spots. The Danish driver get involved in a close battle with Rik Koen and Vladislav Ryabov and finally came in fifth place to add more valuable points to his tally.
Martí, after his problematic first lap, put in a massive recovery driver to finish 12th in the standings and set a point after posting the fastest lap of the race. Neither García nor Partyshev could make it to the end this time.

Overall, it was a strong weekend for the whole team. Øgaard now sits second in the drivers’ standings on 94 points. Martí currently lies in seventh place with 45 points to his name. Campos Racing sits third on the teams’ standings on 137 points.
The fourth round of the F4 Spain will take place at Motorland Aragón in two weeks’ time.
