Arden Motorsport is aiming to hit similar heights at Silverstone as the GB3 Championship makes a return to the Northamptonshire circuit this weekend (14-15 August).
 


The Banbury team head to the 3.6-mile GP circuit – famous as the home of the Formula 1 ® British Grand Prix – after another race-winning performance from Roman Bilinski last time out at Snetterton.
 


The Polish racer claimed a hat-trick of podiums, the first driver to do so at any round so far in 2021, to propel himself into the top five in the standings.
 


That, plus a hugely impressive return to action for Frederick Lubin in the other Red Arrow, the Brit scoring three top ten finishes and gaining 22 positions over the course of the triple header, have given the team plenty of optimism heading to their ‘home’ event.
 


Silverstone proved to be a happy hunting ground earlier in the campaign, including a maiden podium in the UK’s premier single seater category for the team in the hands of Alex Connor, as well as an equal career-best fourth for Lubin.
 


Following two days of testing, the team’s first competitive action comes in the form of qualifying at 11:50 on Saturday (14 Aug), ahead of the opening race at 14:45 that afternoon.
 


Sunday features another double header at 11:35 and 14:55, with both races live-streamed on GB3’s YouTube channel and social media platforms.




Gary Ward, Arden GB3 Team Manager said: “The whole team is really looking forward to Silverstone this weekend, we’re on a really good run in the GB3 Championship at the moment, so the chief objective is to keep that going.
 


“It was a really positive circuit for us earlier in the season, so with the benefit of more track time, more experience and a better idea of what to fine-tune in practice, our drivers should be in a good position to hit the ground running. If we can reach the same heights as Spa and Snetterton, we’ll be doing just fine!”
 

Roman Bilinski (#4) said: “I’m really looking forward to continuing my push towards the front in the GB3 Championship at Silverstone this weekend. It’s a great circuit, and one of my stronger ones from F4 last season, so I’m confident I’ll be able to hit the ground running. The rest of the field have already raced there once this season, but if I’ve proved one thing so far, it’s that I can come in and be on the pace with less mileage in the car.
 

“Arden performed really well there with Frederick and Alex earlier this year, so I know I’ll have a good car underneath me, and from there I just need to make sure I make the most of practice to get dialled in. Thanks as always for the support, it’s given me a real boost recently.”
 



Frederick Lubin (#78) said: “I’m really looking forward to Silverstone. It’s a fantastic track, the last time I was here we were really fast, so hopefully we can do the same again. The main thing for me this weekend is to get used to being back in a car and get back to being fully fit again. With the extra track time, it will be quite tough, but I’m sure we can manage it just fine.”
