The exciting 2021 Formula 4 Spain Championship season will come to an end at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya next weekend. The Formula 4-based racing series kicked off at Spa-Francorchamps in late April and Campos Racing, despite it was its first season in the series, immediately secured wins and podiums with a young, talented driver line-up.



Barcelona will be no exception and Sebastian Øgaard, Pepe Martí, Alex García and Oleksandr Partyshev will be defending the Campos Racing colors once more time. Øgaard and Martí will head into the weekend fighting for top honors as they currently sit second and third respectively in the drivers’ standings.



Danish driver Øgaard has clinched four wins and three additional rostrum finishes so far and has 196 points to his name. Spaniard Martí, who is completing his very first season in single-seater racing, has also scored two wins and six others podium results in the F4 Spain. At the moment, Martí is third on 163 points and also sits second in the rookies’ class. Besides, Barcelona is Marti’s home round and it will provide a clear morale boost.



Mexican García and Ukrainian Partyshev will focus on finishing in the points-paying places. García scored points at Motorland and Cheste with a best result of 8th to his name. Partyshev will also try to finish the season in the best possible way in Barcelona.



Last but not least, Campos Racing sits second in the teams’ standings on 353 points.



The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is very well-known by every driver and team as it hosts multiple racing events and testing seasons. From a technical point of view, Montmeló will have some novelties such as wider format of the La Caixa corner in order to improve safety.



Besides, the circuit features a good number of different types of corners. Usually, starting position is important as it isn’t easy to overtake but the long main straight is always key for slipstreaming.



The timetable has scheduled two 40-minute long free practice sessions ahead of Q1, which is taking place on Saturday at 12.00. Race 1, consisting of 25 minutes + 1 lap, is scheduled at 15.45.





On Sunday, drivers will hit the track at 9.30 for Q2 with the remaining two races at 13.15 (18 minutes + 1 lap) and 15.40 (25 minutes + 1 lap). All times are CET. The F4 Spain races will be streamed live on its YouTube channel.
