With third place in the Driver classification at stake – and 12 Super Licence points – Hadjar was a man on a mission as the lights went out for the final time on the 2022 season, blasting away from pole.


Behind, Jak Crawford didn’t make the best getaway and immediately fell into the clutches of Gabriele Minì and Paul Aron, dropping to fourth in the order ahead of Pepe Marti.



 Aron challenged Minì, running wide to take the position and immediately instructed to give it back as the safety car was called out after Amna Al Qubaisi’s car came to a halt on track.



At the restart, Hadjar once again made a wheel-perfect getaway with Minì now restored to second ahead of Aron, but the action was short-lived when the safety car was called out for a second time after Master Cup champion Khaled Al Qubaisi was clipped by Léna Bühler, sending him into the barrier and ending his race.



When the safety car released the field with a little over eight minutes remaining, Hadjar remained in charge, leading Minì, Aron, Crawford, Marti, Patrik Pasma and Dino Beganovic away. Crawford managed to close up to Aron, but wasn’t able to find a way past and had to settle for fourth.


A rare error by Rookie Cup champion Marti let Pasma through, with Beganovic also finding a way past although the Spaniard quickly reclaimed sixth from the Swede before the flag fell for the final time on the 2022 season.



Second Rookie over the line was Dilano van’t Hoff, with Hitech GP’s Owen Tangavelou third. Salih Yoluç claimed the Master Cup victory, locking in second in the final class standings from Thomas Luedi.
