For the rookies:


“Fafe is a really nice gravel rally and a lot of the stages are used for the WRC event so it’s great experience to drive these types of stages.


“If it’s good weather and nice conditions there is always a lot of cleaning so the young drivers really need to try to stay in the lines and drive as fast as they can. The rear doesn’t always need to be in the lines but at least the front tyres should always be, that’s the fastest way.


“It’s a rally you can enjoy because there are spectacular stages but don’t go flat over the famous jump on Lameirinha, that will hurt.


“On the first day last year the conditions were really, really difficult with very heavy fog and a lot of rain which made the stages incredibly slippery. The stages in the Fafe area get really slippery when it’s raining and if you go outside the lines the car is just floating on top of the road surface. So whether it’s raining or dry, stay in the lines.”




For the fans:



“The speed in the ERC last year was really high with a lot of good drivers and a lot of action, everyone was really pushing. The footage, even though it’s not WRC, will still be very, very spectacular. I will definitely be in front of the TV this weekend and will take some time to watch it.”
