Winning weekend for B-Quik Absolute Racing as Thailand Super Series visits Buriram for first time this year
29.08.2022: An amazing weekend for B-Quik Absolute Racing at Chang International Circuit in the second round of Thailand Super Series 2022, which we capped off with a superb 1-2 finish in last Sunday’s Super Car GT3 Race 2, our all-Australian line up of Daniel Bilski
|

An amazing weekend for B-Quik Absolute Racing at Chang International Circuit in the second round of Thailand Super Series 2022, which we capped off with a superb 1-2 finish in last Sunday’s Super Car GT3 Race 2, our all-Australian line up of Daniel Bilski and Philip Massoud in the #27 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo 2 bouncing straight back after a torrid Race 1 the previous day to lead home the sister #25 Audi shared by Sandy Stuvik and Akash Nandy, the Thai-Malaysian pairing making it an impressive two runner up finishes from the two races.

Those results gave us the Teams’ trophy for both Super Car GT3 races and that’s allowed us to start clawing back the gaps in the Drivers’ and Teams’ championship standings as the series reaches the halfway point. It’s still very much game on for the titles!
Sunday’s Race 2 also saw a sixth-place finish for the #26 Audi shared by Henk Kiks and Eshan Pieris, building on a trip to the podium the previous day as the Dutch-Sri Lankan crew showed a very consistent pace all week.
However, there was much less luck for Vincente Floirendo and Pierre Kaffer in the #55 Audi, they were eliminated after an incident coming out of Turn 4 during all the hurly burly of the opening lap. Daniel and Philip also won the AM class to make it two trips to the podium! Sunday’s win gets us off the mark in terms of overall victories for this season.

Race weekend had kicked off with Saturday’s Super Car GT3 Race 1 which resulted in three cars finishing on the podium as, aside from Sandy and Akash in the runners up spot, Pierre and Vincente put a fighting drive in the #55 car to nab third place after a barnstorming closing stint that saw the Philippine-German pairing battling past a string of cars right up to the chequered flag. Eshan and Henk wrapped up the Race 1 podium with a fighting fifth place finish.
Coming to Buriram and pulling out these results over two hot, dry and very humid days of ultra-close, nail-biting racing was absolutely vital after a challenging season opener in Bangsaen – and the team did exactly that, everyone dug in and did exactly what had to be done.
In Super Car GTC we also turned in some great results with Adisak Tangphuncharoen in our #26 Porsche Cayman GT4 winning GTC Production on Sunday (as well as claiming the Porsche Sprint Trophy win) just ahead of Greg Bennett, the experienced American driver debuting our brand-new Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport 2022 this weekend. That 1-2 finish in GTC Production translated into a 2-3 overall.

The B-Quik Junior Programme also had a good weekend with Sathaporn Veerachue winning both Super Showroom races while Adisak and Attapon Kaewarsa did well in Super Eco.
Now we immediately turn our focus onto the trip to the Singapore Grand Prix, which is looming fast, it takes place in just four weeks’ time. We will announce our full driver roster for Singapore support race in the coming weeks.

B-Quik Absolute Racing is supported by B-Quik, Quik Pro, Mobil 1, Bendix, Yuasa, IM and WAC Car Detailing.
