Third TCR Italy win of season helps Langeveld close points gap

13.09.2022: A third win of the TCR Italy campaign helped Target Competition driver Niels Langeveld close in on the championship lead after the penultimate round of the season at Imola (September 1-4).

A third win of the TCR Italy campaign helped Target Competition driver Niels Langeveld close in on the championship lead after the penultimate round of the season at Imola (September 1-4).

The Dutchman converted a front row start into Race 1 victory in his Elantra N TCR.

In Race 2 he had to climb from seventh on the partly reversed grid, eventually rising to take fourth place in the closing laps.

He was one spot behind his Target team-mate – albeit in an i30 N TCR – Cesare Brusa who added third place to his ninth from Race 1. Michele Imberti finished tenth in Race 1 in his i30 N TCR.
