Who will be the RNT driver in the French Formula 4 Championship in 2023? This coveted spot will be played out between Kaï Rillaerts, Sam Balota, Martijn Geyskens, Yani Stevenheydens, Rhune De Breucker and Noah Maton.


To become a professional driver one day, you have to perform well, but you also have to be lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time. Twenty young Belgian drivers born between January 1, 2005 and December 31, 2007 tried to make that luck happen by participating in the IAME Series Benelux (in the X30 Senior class) or in the BNL Karting Series (in the Senior Max class) with the hope of qualifying for the "Road to F4" final.



As foreseen by the rules of this operation of the RACB Sport and the RACB National Team launched last winter, six of them (the first three in X30 Senior and the top 3 in Senior Max) have taken an important step by securing one of the qualifying tickets for the final phase.



Already qualified after the last meeting of the IAME Series Benelux, Sam Balota, Yani Stevenheydens and Noah Maton were joined by the three drivers of the Senior Max category. Having dominated the Belgian ranking, Kaï Rillaerts already knew that his place would no longer be threatened. At the end of the season finale at Karting Genk in early October, Martijn Geyskens and Rhune De Breucker took the last two qualifying places.



"Congratulations to these six drivers", says Xavier Schène, Director of RACB Sport. "Their qualification for this final of the RACB National Team will be, whatever happens, a wonderful experience for them. For three days, from Monday 28 to Wednesday 30 November, they will join the FFSA Academy to alternate physical exercises, personalized interviews and driving on the Bugatti Circuit in Le Mans at the wheel of the Mygale Formula 4.


At the end of these three days, and after having analyzed the performances and the potential of each one, the jury will designate a driver to join the RACB National Team and to take part in the FFSA French Formula 4 Championship by defending this black-yellow-red flag which is so dear to us.
