The 2022 FIA Motorsport Games will be broadcast to a massive global audience with an extensive set of television deals for the event which begins with the first day of official track action today (Thursday) at Circuit Paul Ricard, France.
Each competitor will race in the colours of their national flag at the second edition of the multi-disciplinary contest, which is hosted in Marseille and the nearby Circuit Paul Ricard. 72 nations will participate across 16 disciplines, including Auto Slalom, Cross Car, Drifting, Karting Sprint, Endurance and Slalom, KCMG Formula 4, GT and GT Sprint.
To reflect the significance and international nature of the event, multiple broadcast agreements have been reached to ensure that the FIA Motorsport Games can be followed across the globe, with coverage to stretch across 122 territories.
In Europe, Sky Sports F1 will broadcast action from GT and GT Cup in addition to extensive highlights. Motorvision TV will also air highlights to a wide range of countries, including Belgium, France, the United Kingdom, Portugal and Spain.
A series of region-specific arrangements will give the event further reach across the continent. In the host nation, Auto Moto La Chaîne will air coverage, while RTBF Auvio will broadcast live coverage for Belgium, and Italian fans can follow via MS Motor.
Spain will take in live coverage from Tele Deporte to follow the nation’s team competing in all 16 disciplines. Croatia will receive live updates from GP1 TV as well as highlights from Sport Klub, while Poland can watch live via Motowizja and Romania on Digital Broadcast.
Slovakia’s RTVS and Sweden’s SBS channels will also follow the action live from France, Sky.de will cover Germany, while both Germany and Austria will air highlights from across the 2022 event from Servus TV.
In Asia, Malaysia will get extensive highlights via Astro, while China is set to present a two-hour highlights programme on Star Sports. Hong Kong, China followers will also be able to enjoy highlights from across the Circuit disciplines of GT, GT Sprint, KCMG Formula 4 and Touring Cars on PCCW.
Coverage will also reach far beyond Europe. In Oceania, Australian fans will have access to live coverage on Seven, while their neighbours in New Zealand will be able to watch a full complement of highlights on Discovery.
The United States and Canada can follow all the action live thanks to Motor Trend On Demand, with highlights also on CBS Sports. Elsewhere in the Americas, viewers in Brazil can enjoy highlights on Globo.
A host of nations in the Middle East will be served by Motorvision TV, which will show a combination of live coverage to Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates among others. Kuwait, Qatar and Oman, which are also part of that list, will have their own additional highlights thanks to Azam TV Max.
A number of region-specific agreements will take highlights to the African continent, to follow numerous teams making their FIA Motorsport Games competition debut. Supersport will air broadcasts from the main races for GT, KCMG Formula 4, Rally2, Rally4 and Historic Rally, plus Touring Car and GT Sprint. Motorvision TV will also carry highlights to over 50 African nations.
In addition to the extensive TV coverage on offer, fans will have even more opportunities to watch thanks to a variety of online broadcasting options. A dedicated live TV show and broadcast will provide coverage from 16:00 CEST on Friday through until Sunday night, free to watch on the FIA Motorsport Games website, YouTube and social networks.
With widespread broadcasting agreements in place and multiple online streaming options to choose from, fans will have every opportunity to follow all of the action from the inaugural FIA Motorsport Games from start to finish.
