Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine unveils the upcoming season calendar and the 12 pre-selected teams 02.12.2022: The 2023 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine calendar has officially taken shape. The championship will still run ten international venues to be held on the most prestigious circuits Europe-wide.

The 2023 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine calendar has officially taken shape. The championship will still run ten international venues to be held on the most prestigious circuits Europe-wide.



The series co-organized by ACI Sport and Alpine, and certified by FIA will turn on its engines for the first time on March 17 and 18 in Barcelona, which will host the first official test of the year. The second one will be held at le Castellet on the 21st and 22nd of the same month, while the last will be on April 11 and 12 at Monza.



The next season will come into full swing on the historic Imola track (April 23) during the first ACI Racing Weekend of the year. The second leg will take the single-seaters back to Spain on the Catalan circuit (May 21), before landing at the Hungaroring (June 18).



The iconic Spa Francorchamps track (July 1) will host the fourth round of the season during the prestigious Crowdstrike 24 Hours of Spa, before continuing the following weekend on the ups and downs of Mugello Circuit (July 9) and at Paul Ricard toward the end of the month (July 23).



After the summer break, the series will be back in action at the Red Bull Ring (Sept. 10) again on the GT Open weekend as with the Hungarian and French races, before returning to Italy at Monza in the temple of speed (September 17). The penultimate round of the season will take place in the Netherlands at Zandvoort (October 15) in the same weekend of the Fanatec GT World Challenge, while the grand finale is scheduled at the German track of Hockenheim on October 22.


Ten double events in total, set on first-rate circuits where exciting battles that have always characterized the continental series will be staged.


In the 2023 the aim is to keep up and additionally improve the quality and success of this point of reference series, the only official step from F4 to F3 in the FIA Global Pathway from Karting to F1. Up to 25 Super Licence points are available for the drivers participating to the series.



As a maximum of 12 teams is allowed to participate in the championship, one important step is the pre-selection for next year, which sees 11 teams that have competed in 2022, plus Sainteloc Racing, taking over from FA Racing.
