NASCAR and EURO-RACECAR announced today they have reached a long-term partnership making EURO-RACECAR officially recognized by NASCAR as a NASCAR Touring Series, becoming the doorstep for European drivers to race in U.S. NASCAR series.


Created in 2009 by Team FJ, with the support of the French Federation (FFSA) and its President, Nicolas Deschaux, RACECAR Euro Series have always been inspired from their American model, NASCAR.


Racing with tubular chassis cars powered by American V8s, and placing priority on fans and drivers with great competition, EURO-RACECAR has worked hard to adapt the keys that have made NASCAR one of the most popular sports all over the world.


EURO-RACECAR will be designated a NASCAR Touring Series for the 2012 season, which opens April 7-8 at Nogaro in France.


As a NASCAR recognized Touring Series, EURO-RACECAR will be the official doorstep for European drivers to race in NASCAR’s United States’ based series. In addition, the EURO-RACECAR Champion will be honored at the 2012 NASCAR Night of Champions Touring Series Awards Gala, along with second- and third-place finishers, the Junior Trophy winner and the Most Popular Driver Award winner.


The series will stay under the exclusive management of Team FJ, its creator and organizer, and registered as an FIA International Series. NASCAR will provide its knowledge and expertise to develop the series in Europe and create high-level sport events where passion, fans and fun on track and around are the key words.
