For Tobias Dauenhauer (23), it was the most successful motorsport season in his rocket-like career to date.


EuroNASCAR staged its races in six different countries. In Spain, Great Britain, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Belgium and Italy, the young German was able to rack up five victories with his 420 hp strong #50 MOMO Ford Mustang, run by Dutch team, Hendriks Motorsport.




He claimed pole position, or first place on the grid, seven times. On top of that, he scored nine top 5 results and he finished among the ten best drivers a total of ten times. An impressive achievement!



“For me, it was my best season in motorsport so far,” a delighted Tobias Dauenhauer said during the final EuroNASCAR round held at Vallelunga in Italy, only 30 kilometres outside of Rome.



In 2020, he had already caught the attention with three race wins and four pole positions in the hard-fought EuroNASCAR series. He only just missed out on the championship title and became runner-up right away. Prior to that, he had already become the first-ever German to win a NASCAR race.



For 2022, his aim is to graduate to the PRO class in EuroNASCAR competition where his teammate Loris Hezemans (NL) was crowned the 2021 champion with his #7 MOMO Ford Mustang.



Like Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel, Tobias Dauenhauer was successful in karting prior to successfully making the switch to touring car and GT racing.



“Even today, I am still occasionally participating in kart races. It is the best training to stand in the tough environment of professional motorsport,” he is convinced.



For Tobias Dauenhauer, his goal is clear: NASCAR USA, which is more popular than Formula 1 over in the US. There, prize money of over 100,000,000 Dollar is at stake. Up to 300,000 spectators at the race tracks and over 20 million viewers on TV are watching the biggest motorsport series in the US.



“As Toine Hezemans, my team boss at Hendriks Motorsport’s in 2020 and 2021, will be running in the US with his own new HEZEBERG NASCAR Team in 2022, he wants to give me the chance to race there in 2023 as well. To do so, I will be doing my utmost in EuroNASCAR in 2022!”



With second place in the final standings of the 2021 EuroNASCAR series, Tobias Dauenhauer was able to confirm his success from 2020 as the repeated runner-up.
