Brazilian GT Championship 2007 review

Xandy Negrão and Andreas Mattheis started the season with a Dodge Viper, moving to a Lamborghini for the third race. However, before the fourth event, they suffered an engine failure, and without a replacement, had to fetch the Viper, which was 2000 km away... Despite missing most of the practice sessions, the Viper was the best, and

they won both races. For the final round, they opted to trust the Viper again, as they were in the lead, and did not need to win to be crowned. But once again, they claimed a double victory."

ANDREAS MATTHEIS: "I am extremely happy. Six victories during the year, and a perfect weekend to close the season. We had an excellent car and there was nothing missing", said a very emotional Andreas Mattheis. The driver from Rio de Janeiro spent 13 years without driving, winning the title with Xandy Negrão on his return.

XANDY NEGRÃO: "Everyone can race. But to win races, is not for anyone. Then to win a Championship, … We achieved our goal due to a combination of everything we have: team, car, mechanics, luck, everything".
