TWO-TIME FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPION AND LE MANS 24 HOURS WINNER TAKES A BEST STAGE FINISH AS RUNNER-UP IN A TOYOTA GAZOO RACING’S HILUX CAR



Fernando Alonso completed a succesful debut at the Dakar Rally in Saudi Arabia, claiming the 13th overall position in a TOYOTA GAZOO Racing machinery.



Two-time Formula One world champion and two-time Le Mans 24 Hours winner, as well as reigning FIA World Endurance Championship title holder, finished brilliantly his maiden desert race supported by Italian brand Cetilar Racing.



Teaming up with skilled co-driver Marc Coma aboard a Toyota Hilux car, the Spaniard posted a best stage finish of runner-up to end the race more than four and a half hours by leader Carlos Sainz, as consequence of repairs on the second stage and a roll during the 10th.



Alonso entered the top-10 in eight out of 12 stages, posting the fourth time on stage 3 and 12 and seizing a superb 2nd in the 477-kms eight stage at Wadi Al-Dawasir.



That also marked Cetilar Racing debut at the Dakar, embodying the spirit of one of the most challenging race in the world and testing in extreme condition Cetilar® products, including Cetilar® Cream, ideal to reduce painful musculoskeletal symptoms as a result of sports injuries.



Next Cetilar Racing commitment will be the Lone Star Le Mans at the Austin track on 22nd/23rd February, fifth round of the FIA WEC 2019/2020 season, with Roberto Lacorte, Giorgio Sernagiotto and Andrea Belicchi sharing the duties in the #47 Dallara LMP2 car.



The brand linked to the Pisa-based pharmaceutical company PharmaNutra S.p.A. also continues to support as main sponsor - for the third consecutive season - the soccer team Parma Calcio, having a strong presence in the running as it supports some of the most important marathons in Italy, as well as in sailing, golf and paralympic disciplines as a result of a strict cooperation with Obiettivo 3, the Alex Zanardi’s project that aims to help the athletes to get involved in sports.



In addition of that, it launched in 2019 Cetilar Performance program that aims to support alongside excellence partners a group of young karting drivers in their professional and human growth.
