BSPort Racing Selected the Aston Martin Vantage GT4 for its 2020 Effort, Complete with Support from CSJ Motorsports

CSJ Motorsports and the newly formed BSPort Racing have expanded the reach of Aston Martin’s Customer Racing program in North America following BSPort Racing’s recent announcement of an Aston Martin Vantage GT4 effort in Pirelli GT4 America SprintX competition for 2020.
BSPort Racing joins Automatic Racing, which campaigned an Aston Martin Vantage GT4 in IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge GS class competition in 2019, as the first to contest the newest Aston Martin platform in North America.
The newest Aston Martin Vantage GT4 has been purchased through CSJ Motorsports, the official North American distributor for Aston Martin Vantage GT3 and GT4 race cars. BSPort Racing’s machine will be piloted in the Pro-Am category by Bryan Putt, 2019 TC America TCR DSG Cup champion for TCR cars running a direct shift gearbox, and Kenton Koch.
“We saw the speed of the Aston Martin Vantage GT4 in the hands of Automatic Racing in this season’s IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge,” Susan Jary, co-principal at CSJ Motorsports, said. “This is the first to jump into the SRO Americas venue, but we’re confident it’s in capable hands. To see this come together this early in the offseason will give us a chance to be sure that Bryan and BSPort Racing have everything they need to hit the ground running when next season begins.”
Based in San Antonio, Texas, CSJ Motorsports is on-hand with a parts truck and support at every IMSA and SRO event with an Aston Martin on the entry list. In addition to parts at and away from the track, CSJ Motorsports offers diagnostic and technical support to each North American team.
The Aston Martin Vantage GT4 was carefully selected to be the base platform at the formation of BSPort Racing as Putt adds team owner to his driving duties.
“After our first year in SRO America, and winning the DSG Cup title, it’s a big leap to move into team ownership and SprintX in the Aston Martin GT4,” says Bryan Putt. “We feel confident that it will be a great season. It will definitely be a learning year for the entire group, and we are very excited for the challenge.”
The car has posted a combined 37 top-five overall finishes in several international race series including Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe, the British GT Championship, International GT Open Championship, Creventic 24H Series and the Super Taikyu Series. The tally includes 18 podium finishes, an overall win for the GT3 car in the Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe, a Pro-Am Cup winner in the 24-hour race at Spa-Francorchamps, and a win for the GT4 machine at Suzuka in the Super Taikyu Series.
Closer to home, Automatic Racing’s Aston Martin Vantage GT4 became a race contender late in the season in IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge GS competition, including the Motul Pole Position for Akhil Rabindra at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta in the season finale.
Both the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 and the Aston Martin Vantage GT4 are available for purchase through CSJ Motorsports. More information can be found at www.amrcustomerracing-na.com.
