Giniel de Villiers has picked up fourth position 10’48' behind Stéphane Peterhansel. Holowczyc finishes fifth after his puncture, 18’06' the day’s fastest man.
Ronan Chabot is sixth, 18’24' behind ‘Peter’, ahead of the Mini driven by Boris Garafulic and the Ford of Lucio Alvarez. Federico Villagra has lost out big time on the end of the stage, finishing more than 30 minutes behind the stage winner.

At first glance, Stéphane Peterhansel has won the special, 3’38' ahead of Nasser Al-Attiyah and 5’58' ahead of Nani Roma. These results are provisional, but the upshot is that Peterhansel takes over the lead in the general standings by 26' over Nani Roma

The two Minis have crossed the finishing line two seconds apart at the end of the special, but the Frenchman was fourth to start this morning, whilst the Spaniard was the second to start.
It seems that Peterhansel has moved in front in the general standings.

With the finish in sight, when the times of the leading duo in the general standings are compared, in virtual terms Stéphane Peterhansel has overtaken Nani Roma in the general standings.
At present the two Minis are separated by 6’08' in favour of Peterhansel whereas there was a gap of 5’32' yesterday evening in favour of Roma.
What is happening? Does Nani Roma have problems? Will the team orders be respected? Watch this space…
13:20 Cars: Peter creeps into second place after 267 km
The Frenchman has moved up a place to the detriment of Orlando Terranova who is now in third position. Nasser Al-Attiyah is still in command of the stage with a lead of 3’53' over Peter, 4’10' over the Argentinean and 7’41” over fourth placed Federico Villagra.
Nani Roma is fifth, 9’35' behind the Qatari, ahead of Giniel de Villiers, 9’48' behind Al-Attiyah, and Ronan Chabot, 11’45' behind the stage leader.
