After two action-packed rounds in Malaysia last month, the FIA Formula 4 SEA Championship - fueled by Petron - shifts to the Buriram Circuit, Thailand where the drivers will resume their hunt for precious championship points in their quest for honours this season.

Fans are in for a blast at the Buriram Circuit where they will witness two championship rounds, on May 10-12 (Round 3) and June 7-9 (Round 4).

The first two rounds, featuring four races each, witnessed massive battles as the drivers jostled for the top positions at the Sepang Circuit in Malaysia. With the benefit of the experience gained from the early rounds, the drivers will be better prepared this time around.

“With the knowledge and experience they picked from the two rounds, the drivers will know what they’re up against, including which drivers to look out for. All this will translate into very competitive action. We will probably see fresh faces on the podium this weekend,” said FIA Formula 4 SEA Championship promoter, Peter Thompson.

Irish driver Lucca Allen, Finland’s Elias Seppanen and Australian Josh Smith, winners in the previous round will be among the drivers to watch as they renew their rivalry and charge for the chequered flag. For the record, Allen bagged a sensational double while Seppanen and Smith claimed one race each at Round 2.

The trio however will have to look over their shoulders for the likes of Malthe Jakobsen (DNK), Malaysians Alister Yoong and Muizz Musyaffa and Ali Akabi (JOR). Also battling this weekend are Lyubov Ozeretskovskaya (KAZ), Sneha Sharma (IND) and Mira Erda (IND).

Others who could be in action are Amer Harris (MAS), Shihab Al Habsi (OMA), Arya Singh (IND) and Shrien Naidoo (ZAF).

This year’s FIA F4 SEA Championship is a world record-breaking season featuring 40 races, starting from Round 1 in Sepang and finishing off in Clark, Philippines in November.
