Gus Greensmith (2nd WRC 2) said:
 

“I’m really happy with this weekend. We’re sitting in a good championship position having done exactly what we planned to do both here and in Mexico. Now we can go to Portugal and just put the foot down.
 

“I was really pleased with my progress throughout the event. Without a pre-event test we had a few things to discover over the second pass on Friday, but we were able to put that into practice on Saturday.
 

“We were within touching distance of Pontus [Tidemand] on a few stages and it was a very clean and comfortable drive from my side – with no mistakes or punctures or anything like that.
 

“We had a bit of a surprise this morning which made us work a bit for the result. All of a sudden [on SS16] the car went into a spin and we only had two-wheel drive for the rest of the loop.
 

“After that it was just about managing the gap to Pedro [Heller], but we’d done a good enough job over the weekend that it was all under control.”
 



Pedro Heller (3rd WRC 2) said:
 

“Last year our rally came to an end on El Condor, so it’s great to get to the finish this year. I’m really happy to be on the podium, but also with our pace when compared to the other South American drivers.



 We have some work to do to be on the pace of the Europeans, but we’re getting there and I’m looking forward to our next event.”
 



Nil Solans (7th WRC 2) said:
 

“After losing so much time on the first day [an issue with the alternator pulley forcing the Spaniard to Rally 2 on Thursday evening] we didn’t want to take any risks and just focused on learning the stages and improving our pace through the second pass.
 

“It was a lot hotter than expected which meant it was a bit more difficult for us, but the last stage was pretty good. We had good conditions and a good set-up which meant we were able to set a good time. We actually had to slow down for another competitor on that stage, so to set the second fastest time was not bad at all.”
